Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
First Class Journey LLC is committed to making its website, https://journeyfirstclass.com, accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone should be able to read about our brand and submit an enquiry without encountering unnecessary barriers. We take accessibility seriously and work to improve the experience of all visitors on an ongoing basis.
Standard We Aim For
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor and cognitive disabilities.
We describe ourselves as aiming for this standard rather than claiming full conformance, because we acknowledge the known limitations described below and we conduct ongoing review.
Measures Taken
To support accessibility on https://journeyfirstclass.com, we have implemented the following measures:
- Semantic HTML: Page structure uses appropriate HTML landmark elements and heading hierarchy to help screen readers and other assistive technologies interpret content correctly.
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements, including navigation links, the language toggle and the contact form, can be reached and operated using a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse or pointer device.
- Visible focus indicators: Keyboard focus is visually indicated on all interactive elements so that keyboard users can see which element is currently active.
- Labelled form fields with text error messages: Every field in the contact form carries a programmatic label. Validation errors are communicated as visible text messages, not by colour alone.
- Colour contrast checked: Text and interactive elements have been reviewed to meet the WCAG 2.2 AA minimum contrast ratios.
- Alternative text: Images carry descriptive alt text, or are marked as decorative where appropriate.
- Reduced-motion support: The site respects the operating-system or browser preference for reduced motion, limiting or removing animations for visitors who have enabled that preference.
- Responsive layout: The site adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels to support users on a range of devices and viewport configurations.
- Language attribute: When a visitor switches between the English and Spanish language options, the HTML
langattribute of the page is updated to reflect the active language, enabling screen readers to apply the correct pronunciation rules. - No-JavaScript content access: The informational content of the site is readable without JavaScript enabled. The contact form requires JavaScript to submit; a visitor without JavaScript will still be able to read all brand information on the site.
Compatibility
The site is designed and tested for compatibility with recent stable versions of major desktop and mobile browsers, including but not limited to Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. It is also designed to work with commonly used screen readers in conjunction with those browsers.
The site functions for the purpose of reading brand information without JavaScript. JavaScript is required to submit the contact form.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, we are aware of the following limitation:
- Long legal and informational pages: Several pages, including the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and this Accessibility Statement, consist of lengthy text documents. Navigation within these pages relies on heading structure and standard browser behaviour. We do not currently provide an interactive table of contents or skip-to-section links within these long pages.
We continue to assess the site and will address limitations as resources allow.
